Rainier

Original oil on canvas, 24"h x 36"w

After leaving St Helens, we settled into the this little town of Rainier Oregon.
I saw this painting in my mind well before we even moved here.
The sloping composition shows the tenacity of enterprise and the charm of one small township of only 1800 people,
and one downtown city block with train tracks running down the middle of "Main" street.
I am enjoying searching out and painting new compositions.
In the long run I will end up with a deep description of Rainier and one small slice of American life.
