22"h x 34"w Oil on Canvas
Working in bad weather is the most difficult thing about painting on site. There was a gazebo over the rivers edge that worked well for this painting. I spent a few days there with a commercial fisherman who was spending some down time from work to get in some fishing. He was as philosophical about his fishing and we enjoyed each others company. His name was Pete and I will probably never meet him again. The painting is about all of us going to work. That is me riding to my destination in the distance on the far right. I was also able to catch the tug boat Rossisle working on the muddy river. |
